1.6-Hexanediol (HDO)

1.6-Hexanediol consists of hexane and hydroxy groups and is one of the alkanediols. It is a colorless crystalline solid that melts at 45 °C and boils at 250 °C. The 1.6-Hexanediol we sell is produced by the reduction of adipic acid with lithium aluminum hydride.
