2,6 Di-tert-Butylphenol (DTBP)

2,6 di-tert-butylphenol (DTBP) is an organic substance from the group of phenol derivatives that is used by the chemical industry as an antioxidant additive and as a starting material for chemical synthesis. The large-scale production of the compound relies on the alkylation of phenol and isobutene using an aluminum phenoxide catalyst.

The compound serves primarily as an antioxidant and UV protectant. It is added to lubricants, fuels and polymer plastics and, among other things, prevents the gum formation of aircraft fuels. In addition, 2,6 di-tert-butylphenol is an important intermediate for the production of more complex phenolic compounds with antioxidant properties.

At PENPET, you can get 2,6 di-tert-butylphenol (DTBP) of the highest quality, from a reliable partner who will also meet your requirements in the long term. We look forward to receiving your inquiry for an individual offer. Prompt delivery of the crystalline solid can be made in packages with different weights.
